A good politician can either possess a good academic qualification or not. As a matter of fact, an educational qualification is not a prerequisite to become a good politician. An illiterate politican who holds ethical and moral aspects in his commitment towards the society can be a better politician than a literate one who does not care about social problems. A good politician will be able to influence the people through his political principles and good values. Whatever may be the case, if the people are able to maintain a higher standard of living with the social activities of political person they have elected, then he will be treated as a good politician.
A politician is evaluated on the basis of his activities towards society. It may be a wonder that some politicians do not even care about social problems till the next election comes. That is not the nature of a good politician. A good politician will always win the election with the support of the majority of the people.
Before casting the vote, the voters should think about the personal qualities of a politician which distinguish him from other contestants. If he had always raised his voice for the rights and privilege of people then people will expect more efforts from him after reaping the victory in the election.
A good politician will freqently visit the people and enquire as to their well being and collect the suggestions from people for providing a better social infrastructure and social amenities.
It has been seen that a good politician can earn a reputation even outside of his country. Although the people in other countries cannot caste a vote for him, they admire the personal qualities and political will power of such politicians. A good politician will be living in the minds of posterity through many welfare schemes conducted under his name. It is therefore, the activities of each politician that makes him good or bad in the mind of people.
